In TouBot, you play against a profile. Patience, a willingness to take risks, action-orientation, caution, persistence, and spontaneity influence how it plays. You can adjust these values directly using six sliders; we recommend creating three profiles per person. These profiles describe a style of play, not a human being. Frequently asked questions
Nine Men's Morris, the questionnaire and the direct game-profile controls are free. The games plan costs €29.90 as a one-time payment and includes six of twelve games of your choice. To play online with others and use the chat feature, you will also need to activate the free “Unlock online play” plan, which comes with 50 credits. Additional credits can be purchased in a bundle: 400 credits for €4.90. Alternatively, there is a free play-time plan: its games have no purchase price and only cost credits by playing time, at the rate shown when activating it.
Online games with others on several devices require separately available credits; text and voice messages are included. Only the time during which at least two devices have the game open is counted: 1.50 credits per hour for games from the games plan, plus 0.10 credits per hour per player from the fifth player. Games unlocked only through a play-time plan cost that plan's rate, shown on each game card. Billing is to the second. 50 credits therefore last for about 33 hours and 400 credits for about 266 hours of playing together with up to four players. If there is no move and no message for 15 minutes, a notice appears; without confirmation the connection is closed 5 minutes later. Playing alone against a profile or on one device does not use credits. After signing in, your remaining balance is shown on the “Games” page under “Playing costs”. Existing credits remain unaffected by a games purchase.
You see a notice that your balance is 0 credits. A running game is not ended without prior notice, and no negative balance arises: playing time without credits is neither charged later nor offset against credits bought later. You can start a new shared game only after topping up credits. TouBot may also restrict the number of participants or messages until credits are available again. Playing alone against a profile or on one device remains possible.
